About Constance Regardsoe

Constance Regardsoe is a British artist renowned for her evocative oil paintings that explore the interplay between water and the human form. Her work delves into themes of time, impermanence, and the transformative power of water, often depicting figures submerged or emerging, capturing moments that are both intimate and universal.  

Born in Preston, Lancashire, Constance pursued an English degree before transitioning to a career in art. Her dedication and unique perspective have earned her recognition, including the Bath Society of Artists Grand Prize and Young Artist Prize in 2020—the first time both awards were granted to the same artist in the society’s history.   

Constance’s paintings have been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications, reflecting her commitment to exploring the nuances of light, movement, and the human experience through the lens of water.
